A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has exceeded one million informational booklets distributed in the past month. The initiative forms part of the international Truth About Drugs education programme, which aims to provide accessible knowledge about commonly abused substances and their risks to young people and communities.
Approximately five hundred volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a understandable way.
The prevention effort is part of wider eu newsroom rapid social programmes supported by the Church of Scientology, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
